Muziris welcomes you to the cape of trading culture left behind by its ancestors from all over the world, to the waves of Azhikode where Christianity first entered India, to the Cheraman Mosque from where the first Muslim call to prayer was made, the Bharani festival in the Bhagavathy temple of Kodungallur, the original culture of the Jewish synagogue, the village where handlooms spin heritage, the Palium Palace and the ancient waterways leading to Muziris.

Next visit to Cheraman Juma Masjid The significance of Cheraman Juma Majsid in the Muziris Heritage Project lies in the fact that it is the first mosque in India. It was built in 629 AD by Malik Ibn Dinar and is located in the Thrissur district of Kerala,

Later proceed to Pattanam Museum The excavations at Pattanam were the first ever multidisciplinary excavations in the state of Kerala. The main objective of the excavations was to search for archaeological evidence that would help locate/identify an early historic urban settlement and the ancient Indo-Roman port of Muziris or Musiri on the Malabar coast. Many important finds such as human bones and storage vessels were made,a gold ornament, glass beads, stone beads, utensils made of stone, copper and iron, typical pottery, early Chera coins, a brick wall, a brick platform, a ring well, a quay with bollards and a six-meter-long wooden canoe parallel to the quay structure about 2.5 m below the surface. The structures indicate an extensive "urban" settlement.
