Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel in the heart of the city (rooms available from 2pm). After settling in, spend the remainder of the day at your own pace, taking in Siem Reap’s diverse atmospheres.
Following breakfast, we see the South Gate of Angkor Thom, also known as Big Angkor. This 3km2 walled and moated royal city served as the Angkorian Empire’s final capital. The renowned Bayon Temple was a mess of architecture, partly due to its relatively fragmented construction over a century. The Terrace of the Elephants is a striking terrace wall that is 300 meters long and 2.5 meters high. adorned with In front of Baphuon, a massive temple mountain in the center of Angkor Thom, the Royal Palace Area, and Phimeanakas, an outstanding rite and sandstone pyramid, there are carved elephants and a gradual approach. At the north end of the Terrace of the Elephants, a double terrace wall featuring intricately carved nags, demons, and other mythological creatures, is the Terrace of the Leper King.
We spend the afternoon touring the Angkor Wat temple, one of the wonders of the eastern world and an ancient temple in Cambodia. Its breathtaking remains, which are masterpieces of architectural design and ornamental embellishments, remain as a reminder of the outstanding accomplishments of Southeast Asia’s finest civilization.

We travel 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap to see the Chong Kneas Floating Villages after breakfast. Experience the Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Asia and the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, aboard a traditional wooden boat. Numerous illustrations of the Khmer way of life on the Tonle Sap will be presented here.

Following breakfast and hotel check-out, we go to the bus station and airport with our driver (no guide) in order to catch an express bus to Siem Reap.
You will begin your day by touring the renowned Royal Palace, which was constructed in 1866 during the French protectorate and King Norodom and is one of the city’s main attractions. Constructed in 1962, the nearby Silver Pagoda is well-known for its ornate decorations, silver floor, and several Buddha sculptures crafted from precious metals and stones. Explore the National Museum, a veritable gold mine of pre- and Angkorian artifacts. Wat Phnom Temple, the birthplace of Phnom Penh, may be seen by climbing the steps up this little hill after the museum.
You will learn more about Cambodia’s recent past in the afternoon when you visit the incredible Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, which is located in a former school that the Khmer Rouge used as its primary incarceration and torture facility.
