Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Kochi and Transfer to Munnar
Morning:
•Arrival: Land at Kochi (Cochin) International Airport. After clearing customs and collecting your baggage, you'll start your journey.
•Travel to Munnar: You'll be driving to Munnar, a beautiful hill station (approx. 4-5 hours drive). Enjoy the scenic drive with lush green tea plantations and small waterfalls along the way.
Afternoon:
•Check-in: Arrive in Munnar and check into your charming hill station hotel or resort.
•Lunch: Have lunch at the hotel or at a local restaurant.
Evening:
•Tea Museum: Visit the Tea Museum to learn about tea production and enjoy a freshly brewed cup.
•Leisure Walk: Take a leisurely walk through the tea gardens as the sun sets, soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Overnight: Dinner at your hotel and overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 2
Exploring Munnar
Morning:
•Eravikulam National Park: After a hearty breakfast, head to Eravikulam National Park. Walk through the park and try to spot the Nilgiri Tahr amidst the rolling hills.
Afternoon:
•Mattupetty Dam: Visit Mattupetty Dam. You can rent a paddle boat and enjoy the serene waters.
•Echo Point: Listen to your voice echo back at Echo Point. Have lunch at a local restaurant nearby.
Evening:
•Relax: Head back to your hotel. Relax and enjoy dinner.
Overnight: Overnight stay in Munnar.
Note : Eravikulam National Park near Munnar in Kerala will be closed for visitors from February 1 to March 31 this year in view of the breeding season of the Nilgiri tahr.
Day 3
Munnar to Thekkady
Morning:
•Travel to Thekkady: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (approx. 3-4 hours).
•Check-in: Arrive in Thekkady, check into your hotel or resort.
Afternoon:
•Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Kerala lunch at a local restaurant.
•Boating in Periyar Lake: Head to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a boat ride on Periyar Lake. Keep an eye out for elephants, deer, and other wildlife along the shore.
Evening:
•Spice Plantation Tour: Visit a local spice plantation. Learn about various spices and their uses. You can buy some fresh spices as souvenirs.
•Leisure: Return to your hotel for dinner and a relaxed evening.
Overnight: Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 4
Thekkady to Alleppey (Alappuzha)
Morning:
•Breakfast: Start your day with a wonderful breakfast.
•Travel to Alleppey: Check out and begin your drive to Alleppey (approx. 4-5 hours). Enjoy the changing scenery as you move from hills to serene backwaters.
Afternoon:
•Check-in: Arrive in Alleppey. Check into your houseboat and set off on a backwater cruise.
•Lunch: Enjoy a freshly prepared traditional Kerala meal on the houseboat as you cruise through the tranquil backwaters.
Evening:
•Relax on the Houseboat: Relax on the deck of the houseboat, enjoying the scenic views of paddy fields, coconut groves, and village life. Maybe capture some beautiful photographs.
•Tea & Snacks: Enjoy evening tea and local snacks as the houseboat anchors for the night.
Dinner & Overnight: Onboard the houseboat, savor a delicious dinner. Overnight stay on the houseboat.
Day 5
Alleppey to Kochi and Departure
Morning:
•Sunrise: Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the backwaters. Enjoy breakfast on the houseboat.
•Disembark: Wrap up your houseboat experience and disembark.
Afternoon:
•Travel to Kochi: Drive back to Kochi (approx. 1.5-2 hours).
•Explore: Depending on your flight schedule:
•Visit Lulu Mall for some shopping.
•Explore the Kerala Folklore Museum for a deeper insight into Kerala’s culture.
Evening:
•Departure: Head to Kochi International Airport for your departure, reminiscing about the beautiful memories made in Kerala.
